What Gets Deleted
When you delete your Resuvia account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your account record and profile (name, email address)
- All resume metadata and file references
- Encrypted resume cache stored on your device
- Your resume version vault
- Your full analysis history and results
- Application status tracking entries
- Analytics and crash-reporting identifiers — anonymized and disassociated from your personal data
- Active subscription tokens and purchase records associated with your account
How to Delete Your Account
Option 1 — In-App (Recommended)
The fastest and most complete method. Your account is deleted immediately.
- Open the Resuvia app on your device.
- Tap Profile in the bottom navigation bar.
- Scroll down and tap Account preferences.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm your identity via a one-time verification code sent to your email.
- Your account and all associated data are permanently deleted immediately.
Option 2 — By Email
If you are unable to access the app, you may request deletion by email.
- Send an email to contactus@xentarai.com from the email address associated with your Resuvia account.
- Use the subject line: Resuvia Account Deletion Request.
- We will process your request within 30 days and send a confirmation once complete.
Using Resuvia as a Guest?
If you used Resuvia as a Guest (without creating an account), you have no email address on file, so neither option above can identify you — we have no way to look up a guest account from outside the app. Guest data is handled differently:
- Delete it yourself, in the app, any time: open Profile → Account preferences → Delete my guest data. No email code is required — your active guest session on your device is the verification.
- Automatic deletion: if a guest account is inactive for 30 days, it and all its data are deleted automatically. You'll see an in-app warning (and a push notification, if you've allowed notifications) in the days before this happens.
After a guest account is deleted or expires, that device cannot immediately start a new guest session — this is the same fraud-prevention mechanism described in our Privacy Policy (Section 8). You can always sign in or create a free account from that device instead.
Data Retention
After account deletion:
- All personal data and resume content is removed immediately upon in-app deletion, or within 30 days for email requests.
- Encrypted backups are purged within 30 days of the deletion request.
- A minimal, fully anonymised billing record (no personal information) may be retained for up to 7 years as required by applicable tax and financial regulations. This record cannot be used to identify you.
Note on Local Data
Deleting your account via the app also wipes all locally cached data (encrypted resumes, vault entries, session tokens) from your device. If you delete by email, you should also manually uninstall the Resuvia app to remove local storage.
